  • Dear Midland School Families,

Strategic technology integration is key to supplementing an authentic, engaging, and relevant learning environment.  Midland School has been moving toward that goal over the past few years as we have significantly upgraded our technology infrastructure. We continue moving forward with our 1:1 Chromebook initiative at Midland School. Every 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student is receiving a Chromebook that will be used to foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Students are provided daily access to valuable applications and resources to strengthen student achievement across the curriculum and foster the development of 21st century skills.

Attached please find our updated Chromebook Handbook, which includes important guidelines, procedures and information regarding our 1:1 program.  Additionally, attached is our latest Chromebook agreement that must be reviewed and signed by parents/guardians so that your student can receive their device.

Please take the time to do the following in order to

    (1) Read and review all the information carefully

    (2) Fill out the forms completely

    (3) Return the signed agreement to your homeroom teacher (Grade 5) or main office (Grades 6-8)

    (4) Process payment on the district’s RevTrack system at https://rochellepark.revtrak.net/chromebooks/#/list

Once the agreement is returned and payment has been confirmed, your child's Chromebook will be issued.

Students who qualify for the free/reduced lunch program may be eligible for a waiver of the $35 fee. Contact Cheryl Jiosi our Business Administrator for validation of your waiver status at cjiosi@rochellepark.org or at 201-843-3120 ext. 516. If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at malberta@rochellepark.org.

We look forward to another successful year as we continue to move forward with our technology.

    Regards,

    Michael J. Alberta

    Principal
